Firm Established three decades ago Sabatino Pizzolante Maritime & Commercial Attorneys is nowadays, the only specialized maritime and port legal firm based outside Caracas. Although situated at Puerto Cabello, the second largest city within the state of Carabobo, the firm has correspondents in all other major Venezuelan ports among them La Guaira, Maracaibo, Guanta, Puerto Ordaz, including Caracas. In addition, the office keeps close relation with legal firms and specialized international agencies worldwide.

Associated Maritime Consultants, a sister company, is a project that has been carried out after carefully analysing what the needs of the maritime community are concerning legal, surveying and investigation services. The establisment of AMC is justified because of the need for having a team of lawyers, surveyors and investigators able to work together and with co-ordination, in the best interest of the client. Globalpandi is a related company purely acting as Commercial P&I Correspondents.

ATTORNEYS


Mr. Iván Sabatino holds a law degree from the University of Carabobo. After completing his studies at UC, he followed a specialization in Maritime Law at the High School for the Merchant Marine. He has a legal experience of more than twenty years in the maritime business. Mr. Sabatino is member of the Iberoamerican Institute of Maritime Law and also of the Arbitration and Conciliation Committe of the Venezuelan American Chamber, Chapter Carabobo-Aragua.



Mr. José Sabatino holds a law degree from the University of Carabobo (Venezuela). He attended to the University of Wales College of Cardiff, where he got an MSc in Port and Shipping Administration as well as an LL.M in Maritime Law. His experience in the field of port operators' liabilities is backed by some years working as counsel of Puerto Cabello Port Authority. He is currently lecturing port administration at the post-graduate area of the Maritime University of the Caribbean (Caracas). He is Titular Member of the Comité Maritime International, Chartered Institute of Transport (MCIT), Iberoamerican Institute of Maritime Law and the International Association of Maritime Economist, as well as Executive Co-ordinator of the Port-Customs Committe of the Puerto Cabello Chamber of Commerce.


Orlando José Sabatino Pizzolante †

Mr. Orlando Sabatino holds a law degree from the University of Carabobo. He acts mainly in civil and criminal law. He is the counsel of the Puerto Cabello National Guard, the customs police. In the past he has been President of the Puerto Cabello Bar Association.



He graduated at the University of Carabobo, with specialisation courses in Commercial Arbitration. He practices mainly in the areas of Labour, Labour Collective Conventions and Contracts, with a wide experience in procedural law and litigation.



He is graduated at the University of the Andes (State of Mérida). He is mainly dealing with the areas of claims handling and litigation.



She is graduated at the University of Carabobo. She is in charge of claims handling and at present follows a postgraduate course on customs and international trade.
