Agencia Bolivariana de Noticias, 11th June 2010
Over $912.6 million has been granted by the Foreign Exchange Administration Commission (CADIVI) to the metallurgical, chemical, petrochemical and oil sectors during the first five months of the year. The figure accounts for an increase of 75 percent over the same period in 2009, when those productive sectors received a total of $519.8 million. The information was released during the latest meeting between CADIVI’s authorities and representatives of chambers of these sectors. During the activity, officials of the commission provided information about the authorization of foreign exchange, as well as on dividends. According to a press release issued by CADIVI, the meeting served to evaluate requests for specific cases, one of the reasons why the representatives of these chambers expressed their gratitude for this kind of meetings, which also allow them to be informed on the results and processes that are part of the commission.
